Ahaziah, king of Judah, went to visit Joram, king of Israel, who was wounded. This visit led to Ahaziah's downfall as it was ordained by God for the destruction of his dynasty.

Ahaziah was captured and killed by Jehu, and Athaliah, his mother, proceeded to destroy the royal family of Judah, fulfilling the prophecy of the end of Ahaziah's line.
