The Son of God, heir of all things, and the radiance of God's glory.
In Hebrews 1, Jesus is presented as superior to the prophets and angels. He is the appointed heir of all things, through whom God made the universe. Jesus is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of His being, sustaining all things by His powerful word. After providing purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.
Servants and messengers of God.
In this chapter, angels are described as ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation. They are contrasted with Jesus, who is superior to them, as He is the Son of God and has a more excellent name than they.
The one who speaks through His Son in these last days.
God the Father is depicted as the one who, in the past, spoke through the prophets but has now spoken to us by His Son. He is the one who appointed Jesus as heir of all things and through whom He made the universe.
