Overview
Jeremiah Chapter 13 presents a powerful and symbolic message from God to the people of #Judah through the prophet #Jeremiah. The chapter begins with God instructing Jeremiah to buy a linen belt and wear it around his waist, but not to wash it. This belt symbolizes the people of #Judah, whom God has chosen to be close to Him, just as the belt clings to the body. However, God commands Jeremiah to hide the belt in a cleft of a rock near the Euphrates River. After some time, when Jeremiah retrieves the belt, it is ruined and good for nothing.
