Feeding of the Five Thousand
Jesus miraculously feeds a crowd of five thousand men, not including women and children, with five barley loaves and two fish, demonstrating His divine provision.
This miracle highlights Jesus as the Bread of Life, foreshadowing the spiritual nourishment He provides. It also demonstrates His compassion and power over creation.
The feeding of the five thousand is reminiscent of God's provision of manna in the wilderness (Exodus 16) and points forward to the Last Supper and the Eucharist.
