Jehoahaz was the son of Jehu and reigned over Israel. He did evil in the sight of the Lord, following the sins of Jeroboam. Despite his unfaithfulness, he sought the Lord's favor when oppressed by the Arameans, and the Lord provided a deliverer for Israel.
